Will the aligners affect my speech?
A mild lisp is common during the first few days as your tongue adjusts to the aligners. This resolves quickly for most patients within 3 to 5 days. Reading aloud and speaking normally (rather than removing the aligners) accelerates adaptation. By week two, the vast majority of patients speak with complete clarity.
How many hours a day do I need to wear my aligners?
Aligners must be worn for 20 to 22 hours per day to stay on track with your treatment timeline. You remove them only to eat, drink anything other than plain water, and brush your teeth. Consistently falling short of this target extends treatment time and can compromise tooth movement accuracy.

Over-the-counter pain relief, if needed, is usually sufficient.
Can I eat and drink normally during treatment?
Yes. Because aligners are fully removable, there are no food restrictions. Simply take them out before meals, eat whatever you like, brush your teeth, and reinsert. Avoid drinking hot beverages or coloured drinks with aligners in, as heat can warp the plastic and coloured liquids can stain them.
Will I need a retainer after treatment?
